We Need Your Help — Donate Online, by Check, or with Food Items
(Youngstown, OH) The Boo Squad is back and this year they are going bigger than ever. Now in its 10th Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, the Boo Squad is once again calling on the community to help ensure local families can sit down to a warm Thanksgiving meal. In partnership with the Anthony Spano Foundation, their goal this year is to feed 500 or more families and push their all-time total beyond 1,832 families served since the program began in 2017.
Last year, the Boo Squad fed 500 families their best year yet. This year, they are determined to match or surpass that milestone. Every donation, whether food or financial, goes directly toward providing a complete Thanksgiving dinner to a family in our community.
How You Can Help:
Online & Check Donations: Accepted until November 6, 2026. Donate online at https://spanofoundation.org/fund/boo-squad-fund/. Checks payable to Spano Foundation, PO Box 735, Youngstown, OH 44501. Please include “Boo Squad Fund” in the memo.
Food Donations: Accepted until November 15, 2026. The Boo Squad will be collecting food throughout October and early November.

A Decade of Impact:
Since its founding, the Boo Squad has grown from feeding 10 families in 2017 to 500 families in 2025. Their cumulative impact of 1,832 families served speaks to what a dedicated group of young volunteers and a generous community can accomplish year after year.
